The 2022 Silverado 2500HD is offered in five trim levels: Work Truck, Custom, LT, LTZ and High Country. According to the Gooding Chevy dealer, buyers can choose between a 6.6-liter V8 engine that produces 401 horsepower and 464 lb-ft of torque and a turbocharged 6.6-liter turbodiesel V8 powerplant that puts out 445 hp and 910 lb-ft. The gas engine is connected to a six-speed automatic transmission, while the diesel unit is linked to an Allison ten-speed automatic gearbox.
2022 Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD Work Truck
As the name implies. The Silverado 2500HD Work Truck trim is a basic workhorse. It still comes with an impressive list of standard features, including 17-inch wheels, an auto-locking rear differential, black bumpers and exterior trim, air conditioning, 12 cargo tie-downs, corner steps in the rear bumper, recovery hooks, a trailering package with hitch guidance, and a backup camera. Also standard is a 7-inch infotainment touchscreen, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, Bluetooth and two USB ports.
2022 Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD Custom
The Custom trim comes with similar features as the Work Truck. It adds 20-inch alloy wheels, all-terrain tires, high-gloss black bumpers, cloth upholstery, remote keyless entry, power windows and locks, power-adjustable trailering mirrors, and cruise control.
2022 Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD LT
The LT gets chrome bumpers, body-color door handles, a trailer brake controller, the Chevrolet EZ Lift tailgate, an 8-inch infotainment touchscreen, satellite radio, and Chevrolet Connected Services with a Wi-Fi hotspot.
2022 Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD LTZ
The LTZ trim adds more chrome exterior trim, LED headlights and taillights, a two-speed active transfer case (front-wheel-drive models), keyless entry and engine start, leather upholstery, heated bucket front seats, a heated steering wheel, digital variable steering assist, enhanced trailering technology, power-folding and auto-dimming trailering mirrors, dual-zone automatic climate control, an 8-inch high-definition touchscreen, and wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
2022 Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD High Country
The range-topping High Country is only offered with a Crew Cab. This trim comes with four-wheel drive and includes body-colored bumpers, a power-sliding rear window, ventilated front seats, heated rear outboard seats, a spray-in bedliner, an LED cargo bed lighting, a power tailgate, chrome side assist steps, parking sensors, and a surround-view camera system. Also standard are a bed-view camera, an upgraded driver information display, a Bose premium sound system, an enhanced voice recognition system, an integrated navigation system, blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert, and a wireless smartphone charger.
